Kathmandu -  Indian voice artist and dubbing specialist Amit Deondi arrived in Kathmandu on Saturday to conduct a three-day Voice Acting and Dubbing Training organized by the Film Development Board (FDB) Nepal. The training program is scheduled to begin on Chaitra 1 at the Film Development Board premises in Kathmandu.

Deondi was welcomed at Tribhuvan International Airport by members of the Nepali film industry, including technicians, directors, and sound professionals. Janak Khadka, personal secretary to FDB Chairperson Dinesh DC, along with several representatives from the film sector, greeted him with traditional khada and bouquets.

Speaking briefly to journalists upon arrival, Deondi expressed his excitement about visiting Nepal and working with local creators. “I have always been fascinated by Nepal’s rich culture and its unique soundscapes,” he said. “I’m very happy to be here and look forward to sharing my experience with Nepali artists and technicians.”

The Film Development Board has been organizing various skill-development programs aimed at strengthening the technical capacity of Nepali filmmakers. The upcoming voice acting and dubbing training is part of these initiatives to enhance professional standards in sound performance and audio production within the Nepali film industry.

Participants in the training are expected to include emerging voice artists, actors, sound technicians, and content creators interested in learning professional dubbing techniques, voice performance, and sound expression.

Amit Deondi is known for his work in the field of voice acting, dubbing, and audio performance, contributing to several international animation series and digital platform projects in Hindi. Industry experts believe his visit will help promote knowledge exchange and collaboration between Nepali and Indian film professionals, particularly in the areas of dubbing, sound design, and voice performance.
